Session 5: Respect My Authority

After experiencing a couple of sessions with the Nuff Kidz dance company, it brought me no surprise when this specific session called some authority to attention. There wasn't any bad drama, but I did learn that one of the most important things about being in a dance crew, learning choreography, and anything that relates to that is respecting the authority present, whether it be teacher or some person that is asked to do something simple as lead stretches. Also, today had a more serious tone, which I didn't mind at all. It made me feel a little awkward while I was learning choreography with them, but I was able to push through and learn something that I've added to my arsenal of knowledge.

Session 4: Playing Teacher

This last session was one definitely for the books. It was my first time teaching and even though it wasn't anything big like teaching a choreography, I still felt a little nervous when I was teaching. After being with them for a while, I was able to pick up some ways of teaching so I wasn't all too nervous. I taught them the across the floor patterns that my mentor assigned me to make and I'll admit that I was satisfied with the outcome. I had fun teaching and now I have even more experience under my belt.
